From his seat on Noah’s couch, Cameron looked up as Noah came out of his bedroom. Desire hit Cameron like a punch to the gut. “If you really want to make it out to dinner, you might want to change that shirt.”

“I thought you liked it.”

“I do. That’s the problem.”

“Then I guess you’ll have fun at dinner.”

“Noah—” Cameron took a deep breath. He wasn’t going to let a stupid blue-striped shirt control his dick. He’d managed to get over his reaction to the sound and smell of pump rooms and could usually get through Yankees games without needing to jerk off. If he saw Noah more often, he wouldn’t be able to get to Cameron like this. “As long as I don’t have to wear a tie, I’ll be fine.”

He had no idea why Noah was so determined to haul them out to some restaurant for dinner. Usually when they dragged themselves out of bed, they just got room service or delivery.

Noah’s mood had been bouncing between excited and anxious since Cameron had gotten there two hours ago. Noah had even been too distracted for hey-good-to-see-you sex. As soon as Cameron had cleared the door, Noah had pounced on Cameron with dinner plans.

Cameron watched Noah pace. “This isn’t some super spicy Indian food place, is it? Because you’ve got some weird tastes, man.”

“I like you.”

“Funny.”

Noah straddled him, legs filling up the rest of the couch. “I like the way you taste.”

Noah’s kiss was slow and deep. His tongue curled and pulled Cameron’s back into his mouth while those long-fingered hands worked Cameron’s shoulders. Cameron would never admit how good that felt after just a two-hour flight. He brought his own hands up to rub at Noah’s jaw, smooth and soft from a recent shave. Cameron breathed in the sharp-as-cut-pine scent of Noah’s aftershave.

When Cameron’s thumbs swept behind Noah’s ears, Noah groaned and took the kiss deeper, hips rocking closer. He was so sensitive there. Actually, Cameron had yet to find a spot where Noah wasn’t sensitive to touch. The quick heat of Noah’s response kept fueling his own gotta-have-you-now desire.

He used the leverage on Noah’s jaw to pull him away. “How serious are you about going out to eat?”

“I made reservations.”

“Then you’d better get off me.”

Noah swung off with a dimpling grin that really didn’t help Cameron’s brain concentrate on anything except getting Noah back on the couch minus his pants.

Food. Dinner. Reservation.

“Reservations? And I don’t need a tie?” Cameron asked again.

“Nope.”

As they pulled up, Cameron could see why dress was informal. The restaurant looked like an old house—a house that had had too much to drink and was leaning heavily to the right onto a couple of scrubby pines which were hardly up to the task. Noah squeezed his truck onto the grass at the back of the packed lot. The food couldn’t be too bad if the lot was this full.

The floor of the bar was sticky and, like everything else about the building, had a pronounced tilt. Cameron wondered if this was what it was like on an old sailing ship.
